Technology transfer of white box IP blocks
We offer white-box Intellectual Property (IP) licenses to partners, where we support a technology transfer and we give support during the transfer phase. Imec delivers prototypes and not high volume products, hence the partner still needs an ASIC design team to tune the imec IP block to their specific needs and to gather statistical spreads over larger volumes. This IP white-box licensing model enables our partners to get access to state-of-the-art or even more advanced technology, and to speed up their chip or system design time-to-market.
