Tanguy Coenen has a Master and PhD in Business Administration from the Vrije Universiteit Brussels. He is currently the Program Manager of the Application Prototyping Team, which is part of imec's Innovation Services. The team is composed of more than 30 developers, building tools and prototypes that help clients innovate in ICT by leveraging imec's R&D IP or state-of-the art commercial building blocks.

Writing tasks and presentations are an important component of high-stake tests that determine, for instance, whether someone gets to study at the university of their choice, receives a certain certificate, or lands their dream job. Objective and efficient assessment methods are therefore extremely important (both for the assessor and the assessee), but have also proven to be notoriously difficult. D-PAC, a spin-off of imec, Ghent University and the University of Antwerp, has developed a user-friendly software platform – based on the comparative judgment approach – to evaluate complex skills more reliably.
